A.
The Location
Close to the core of the Big
Apple, Hunter’s Point District’s burgeoning high-rise
buildings complement its celebrated neighbor across the East
River, Manhattan. The District serves as an entry point
from Midtown Manhattan to Queens, on Subway no. 7 train.
Dubbed as the Millennium
County, the Borough of Queens is known as the most diverse
or multi-cultural county in the United States owing to the
presence of numerous international organizations and
agencies, led by the UN; their staff and families, let
alone, the multi-ethnic groups.
In addition, scores of young
families, young professionals, businessmen, writers and
artists have established their homes, along with their
enterprises, in this gentrified section of Long Island
City. Many of the UN staff and other international
organizations have also relocated to Hunter’s Point which is
in the proximity of their workplace.
The Townhouse,
located at 10-11 49th Avenue (between Vernon
Boulevard and Jackson Avenue), L.I.C. is two blocks from the
Waterfront – across the East River from the United Nations
(UN) Headquarters.

Police and Fire Department
Not to take anything for
granted, NYC Police Precinct 108, the primary law
enforcement in the neighborhood, is doing what is supposed
to do: keeping law and order. It is situated one block
south of the Townhouse. On the other hand, the NYC Fire
Department which ensures the fire safety and prevention in
the immediate vicinity, is three blocks north of the
Townhouse.
Public Transportation
The Townhouse is around the
corner from Vernon-Jackson Subway Station (#7 Train), a
one-stop, 3-min. subway train ride to Grand Central Station
in Midtown Manhattan. The Townhouse is also about 5-8
blocks from the G, E, V and R train subway stations.
The Long Island Railroad (LIRR)
Station is close by – at the Hunter’s Point Station –
accessible by the #7 train (one stop away, to the direction
of Flushing) (or, about 5-10 min. walk). At certain times,
LIRR trains stop at Borden Avenue – at the southern tip of
Vernon Boulevard.
Proximity to NY
Airports, Trains and Bus Terminals
Maria Bambina building is
close to LaGuardia and JFK Airports – without the hassles
and delays on East River’s Midtown Tunnel, Queens (59th
Street) Bridge and Triboro Bridge. The airports are
