"Shrines are visible
signs of God’s loving power,” says one Cardinal. These
sacred places “are recognized by all religious cultures and
that they answer a need in people’s hearts: contact with
God.”

The Shrine of the Blessed
Sacrament of Our Lady of the Angels Monastery is nestled
among the bucolic and rolling hills of Hanceville,
in Cullman County, northern Alabama. All year
round, numerous pilgrims from all over the U.S.A. and
overseas visit the
“The Temple,” as Mother Angelica affectionately calls it.
The awesome Blessed Sacrament is exposed, on its full
majesty, in a grand monstrance upon the most prominent place
of the Shrine – at the center of the Altar.
Gesú Bambino Pilgrims’
House is pleased to be part of this pilgrims’
experience. The guesthouse aims at drawing the pilgrims to
the Real Presence in the Blessed Sacrament. The
Pilgrims' House which
welcomes group and individuals seeking solace in
the Blessed Sacrament while on a personal retreat and on a
discernment journey, offers the guest pilgrims a prayerful
and convenient lodging as they
delight in the peace and quiet of its environment.
This Pilgrims'
House also hopes, in its little way, to direct the guests to
Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN), the showcase
of global Catholic television network, founded by Mother
Angelica, the same Poor Clare nun who was inspired by 'El
Divino Niño' (The Holy Child) to build 'The Temple'.
Members
of the religious communities, parents, children and single
adults are most welcome.
